Looking for Thomas or John Pearson. (b. abt 1790-1800 in SC) He or they immigrated to Rhea County, TN perhaps about 1815. Rhea shows a marriage of a John Pearson to Susanna Ellis.Believe they came from the OPD as did the ELLIS family. Trying to find the families that migrated with the ELLIS family. Don't have anything more on PEARSONs except a listing in a census. Thanks. Gail
Sue, I really appreciate your posting this info. Would you please send the info about WHITFIELD? It will be a nice surprise for my husband. Marion Smith Whiting
Donna, I know I speak for all of us when I say thank you for the roll call. I found information on my great-great-great-great-great grandfather, RICHARD WARD. I thank Audrey for sending a copy of the estate settlement to me. My great-great-great-great grandfather, PHILLIP WEBBER,and his son-in-law RICHARD LIGON were also mentioned in that document. Hi Folks, My clock says its 9:17 PM and roll call is officially over. Thanks to Sue and Sonia for doing look-ups for us. Starting now we need to be filling in the subject line with something other than "roll call" or "look-up" . We need something to satisfy the majority of readers who scan the subject line. Many, many thanks to everyone who took the time to compose a message and send it to all of us. It takes a lot of time and thought to do that and it was all appreciated. We had almost 400 messages posted during our roll call party. You all have my applause. donna list admin ----- Original Message ----- From: Donna <dbrand@itexas.net> To: <SC-OLD-PENDLETON-DIST-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 29, 2000 5:02 PM Subject: [SC-OPD] Admin says time for a Roll Call > Hi Folks, > > Its been about 9 months since we've had a roll call. Jean, The most interesting story is that of Bloody Scout Cunningham. He murdered William Young's two uncles.. Do you know it. Will be glad to give it to you. You also know that the Rock house is still standing and that it was at first a tavern. I'm looking for David Roland Jones b. 1824, his parents or ANYTHING! Thanks for doing this for all of us! Barbara L (Jones) Richardson >> Dear Barbara: No David Roland Jones, unfortunately (see, I told you this book wasn't very helpful). Many times, it doesn't even list dates, only family connections, marriages, etc. I take it that much of this work concentrates on mid-late 19th C. Most of the people I research (and get queries for) are 18th C. Patti in VA
