From the Book of the Dead could you see if the surname TOLAND or FEATHERSTON might be mentioned. Thanks, Barbara Nichols
HI...Thanks for helping all of us...do you have any CASEYs listed in that great book? Thanks. L.H.Casey
I've been reading about this book of the dead now for days on this site..Thanks for all the time you put into helping strangers..words are inadequate as the time you take is no doubt enormous. So knowing it is a favor, could you put my JACKSONs on the list for a lookup..any is great as I'm hunting but I'm particulary interested in William Jackson b 1788 who married Sarah Smith or a Robert b mid 1700. Thanks again. Lorna
I'm right in the middle of moving so I can't get into alot of genealogy right now but as things settle down, I'll look. Thanks
When you have the time please look up the following surnames: Voyles /Voiles and Kinard / Kinnard If there is any in there, it should only be a few. You are very kind to take the time to look up the names for everyone. Susan

Could you please look for the name Shockley in your book? Our ancestor is Mary Shockley b. in SC, migrated to MO. Thank you. Barbara
Hi Pam I believe it is local community members who are compiling the information. The Habersham co.Ga.mailing list had a post asking for articles to be contributed on one's Habersham co.Ga.ancestors,from thoes who wish to add their information. I expect it to be full of good information,if the project gets off the ground. There is a lot of history in that area,I would like to know what brought people to that area and how they were related and lived. I visited Batesville,(a few miles from Helen,Ga.) over a year ago the first time. It is a beautiful rural area, with the Soque river winding thru it. My Brookshire ancestors (from Buncombe/Haywood co.NC.) lived beside the Soque river at a place called Brookshire Bottoms,on land that belonged to the Sutton family. They farmed and attended Providence Baptist Church, where they were buried in 1875. I am also searching for information on Prince and Berry, some of whom were in Habersham co.Ga. thanks Gay
I'm connected into an Eliza Jane Byrd b 3 Jan 1836 d 25 Aug 1899 probably in No Carolina who married Redden Bolton b 12 Dec 1822 No Carolina son of James Bolton and Mary Polly Chamblee...looks as though Redden and Eliza moved to Franklin Co, Alabama.
Hi..I have Boltons in my line. James Bolton married 3 Feb 1803 Mary Polly Chamblee they had a bunch of kids. My direct line is through Redden Bolton b 12 Dec 1822 No Carolina who married Eliza Jane Byrd. Who are you looking for? Lorna
Hi Lorna. Thanks for your letter. I am looking for my 3rd g. grandfather and his two wives place of interment. He is Spencer Bolton. His 1st wife's name is believed to Mary Harriet. 2nd unknown. He is first found in Georgetown in Prince George's parish in 1790, From there he lived in Greenville, S. C., Lauren's. Pendleton, and then Spartanburg District, and do not know what town there. It is believed he may be buried around there. I am also searching for his son Archbald Bolton, and dau. Kiddy Bolton. If he lived in N. C. it is not known by me. He was in the Rev. War and fought with the swamp fox until the end.
