    2. Hello Jim, In my researching my ancestor my gr gr gr grandfather Nicholas Briskey/Brisky of SC. Many families seemed to migrate together around 1830's. And some first to GA around Troup, and Harris County and then onto Chambers County, AL and surrounding areas. I have a copy of the Heritage of Chambers County, AL book. by Heritage Publishing, and in index it sald Wald on page 106 which is connection with a Charlie Cumberlander family 1892-1985. Or possibly family of Rev John Cumbee and Celia Caroline Spurlin. I've found decendents for others through this book. And what is nice decendents turned in the pictures and articles and their names and addresses are below each article for contact person for family. So it might be worth a trip to your local library and ask their inner library loan dept to see if they can track a copy of the book to look at. 2. Hello, I am also researching SC area. And found in looking for my gr gr gr grandfather Nicholas Briskey/Brisky that many families migrated together around 1830's. Some to first GA and then onto Chambers County, AL. I have a copy of the Heritage of chambers County, AL book, and I found a listing for Pitts. And it's probably decendent from your line. Page 241 with Picture of Julius Caesar Pitts and Viola Bennett Pitts. Michael T Pitts (1821-1881) was born in South carolina moved to Chambers in 1840's. So this is probably decendent. If you email me seperately and give Pitts name and page I will give you more details. And it has a person's contact name for decendent who sent the article in. 2. Hello, In my researching of my gr gr gr grandfather Nicholas Briskey/Brisky I found many families to migrate together around 1830's. To GA and then onto chambers County, AL or other parts of Alabama. I have a copy of the heritage of Chambers County AL book by Heritage Publishing and in the index there is a clardy family member listed looks like married into owens family some way. There's too much to read. Anyway I found many decendents of abbeville and SC through this book for other people. So you might want to see if you can obtain a copy through your local library inner library loan dept. They are a great resource for genealogy. Names and addresses of the decendents who submitted the articles are in the book. 2. Hello, I found in researching my gr gr gr grandfather Nicholas Briskey/Brisky in SC that many of the families seemed to migrate together around 1830's. many to GA and then to Chambers county AL and Parts of Alabama. I have a copy of the Heritage of Chambers County, AL book by Heritage Publishing Company. I located many decedents for other families who started out in SC and GA. What is good about this book is that many decendents who wrote the articles have their names and addresses printed under them. I found Turner in the index, and on many pages mixed with other marriages. It might be worth a trip to the local library and ask for them to obtain a copy through the inner library loan dept. Also a book that is good is Bobby Lindsey's "Reason for the tears" It list a great many early settlers. And also the Gold Lottery Book of 1832 for GA it has countless names and what they did. But can obtain through your local library. We have a great library resource here and I find them invaluable. I wish you good luck, I'm still tracking my gr gr gr grandfather hit brick walls before 1789.
