There use to be a Confederate Veterans Home just about two blocks from the SC State Hospital and I believe it was located on Confederate Ave.which was to the left of the State Hospital. I know that it was still being used in the 1950's as we lived in Veterans Housing across Colonial Dr. from the State Hospital. I don't know if it is still there or not, but you might check with Archives and History and they may be able to tell you where the records are being kept. Hope this will help. Anne
