Fran, (if that's Albuqurque you're in God's country) Payroll and muster sheets are about all I got as military records. The REAL GOOD STUFF came as pension file documents ... his (the soldier) and his widow's . So far as I know the state where they lived when they filed for the pension is the place ... not necessarily the state for which they served. He listed all his kids and birthdates and places, marriage date to his wife... pretty helpful.
