Hi Joyce, I think all of the PETTYPOOLS go back to Henrico and Prince George County, VA and the families of SC are simply descendants. All POOL(E)S are not PETTYPOOL, or vice versa, but some folks seem to think so. I have a huge file of PETTYPOOLS long before computers were available. The John PETTYPOOL of SC the right age to be ours was married to Elender GREEN and a brother married the sister GREEN. To see POOL and RHODES together suggests that we may be PETTYPOOL, after all. Seth PETTYPOOL of SC, Laurens? Greenville Counties? is said to have had 19 sons!! Now, surely many of us could descend from this family. From VA, the PETTYPOOL families migrated to Granville, NC...or some of them did, and like all families, continued to move along, with our without older family members. BRITT: I have a record will send soon that gives the reason I know of the BRITT family of I. O. W., VA. Audrey Thanks for response.
