Audrey, Thank you for your email. Yes I have worked in I of W records trying to see if my oldest ancestor came out of that county. But after 40 years of research I am unable to take him back from Orangeburgh/Edgefield Co. SC. There is a lack of material from 1700 to 1790. He is in none of the wills that are on file in the area of I of W or Southampton Counties. That's my blank wall. I have read your messages re Pettypool, P'Pool, Pool because my husband has a Pool line. His grandmother was Manthus Pool, who went back to the Pettypools of Christian/Trigg Counties, KY. The earliest of her line was in Prince George Co, VA. I have not done the research on this family, was just given it. Will have to do some reading to see if any of them went into South Carolina. Information given to me shows your Seth Jr to be b ca 1730 and William's birthdate as ca 1734. I show that they were the sons of Seth Pettypool b ca 1702 and Martha (unknown).
