Thanks, Audrey, The long list of names is helpful to many of us who have VA ancestry. My Lunenburg ancestors include Ragsdale and Jones, with both names appearing on the list. Actually, 3 separate Thomas Joneses appear, and two of those are mine -- a father and son. Another list of Rev War participants -- non-military-- is found at this site: (Hope I typed it correctly) ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/VA/lunenburg/court/lune1780.txt It is quite interesting to read the list of supplies and war materiel furnished by the public. Sometimes the citizens gave or sold willingly to the military; at other times, necessities were taken by the military, with promise of return or payment at a later date. Regardless of how they aided the war effort, all those on the list will qualify descendants for NSDAR, CAR, SAR etc. ================================ email screened by Norton AntiVirus 2002 ================================
