    2. Yes Audrey, Jacob Junius Barnes is my ggrandfather thru Jasper LLewellyn Barnes. I have his line down through his 7 sons and 2 daughters, if that is any help to anyone, just let me know. What I don't have is his father! There are several names being thrown around but no one has any sources, so we can't know for sure. There were a lot Barnes' in Darlington & Sumter Counties, in the early 1800's. Also in Edgecomb & Nash Counties in N.C. So somewhere there must be a connection. 3. Paula, Thanks so much for getting in touch with me. I've known of that family for many years, but just haven't done anything about it. You can see the POOLS in the data. John Altman POOL and Tennesse STROUD are my husband's great grandparents. I am also working on the Edgecombe Co, NC wills now and one of them may be J. J. BARNES' father. For sure, there are Jacobs. Mention is made of land in Nash Co, NC; have will books for this county also and will see what is there when I finish with the wills in E. County. Because that is not our direct line, but two of my husband's "cousins" married into the family, I want to contact someone who does have a direct line through this family...if I can find her. She can only go to J. J. BARNES. Thanks again, Audrey ----- Original Message ----- From: <TillyD34@aol.com> To: <SC-Genealogy-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 09, 2006 5:58 PM Subject: Re: [SC] Re: BARNES of SC with a POOL connection > Yes Audrey, Jacob Junius Barnes is my ggrandfather thru Jasper LLewellyn > Barnes.
