Hi Audrey, Not sure if we've connected in the past, but I thank you for all of your efforts in genealogy... I always scan your messages for any familiar names! In response to your comment above... my family, MALPHRUS / MALPAS et. al. followed the path you mention. Our family record traces them as coming to the US in Virginia (Nansemond, I believe) and settling in the South Carolina Lowcountry (Ridgeland/Beaufort area). Our oldest person on record is around 1682, I think. All of my paperwork is tucked away, but the Malphrus tree is online on Ancestry.com I believe. Other names in the lineage include TUTEN, and WOODS... I don't recall seeing POOL but it may be there. If you want the records I will dig out a GED file and get it to you. Thanks, Eddie Malphrus Celina, TX --------------------------------- Yahoo! Mail Bring photos to life! New PhotoMail makes sharing a breeze.

    3. Hi Eddie, No, that's OK about the GED; am curious when, and if, people are finding their ancestors when I post records. We have so many names in the South between my husband's and my mother's. The only one is my father's German line from the Midwest. Thanks you for the kind words. I do have a WOODS line from VA, Hugh WOODS of Orange Co, NC is one of Mom's lines.
