Althought the death cert. seemed to read J. Lee Trotter, both HC Ouzts and Betty Trotter in their research call him George Lee Trotter. He is buried at Spann Methodist Church in Ward, SC as George: I assume that the person buried beside him is his wife. Trotter, Alma HUNTER Jun 12 1866 - Oct 10 1943 Trotter, George Lee Oct 20 1861 - Dec 28 1917 I have as his mother, Susannah Hardy, Sardis Baptist Church, Saluda Co, SC. It certainly seems a puzzle to me that his mother was not known if the very messy and unreadable name of the informant was in fact a Hardy?? Note in the next death cert. of another son, she is named a Hardy, altho first name seems to be a nickname and was hard to decifer. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1916 - Death Cert. #33300, Saluda Co, SC Frank W.
