My brick wall: Looking to find the parents of Lucinda and Mary Parris. Lucinda m. Simon H. Nelson (of Carteret Co., NC) 1845 in Sumter Co., AL; Mary m. David Todd 1845 Sumter Co., AL. I obtained from Sumter Co., AL Probate a "Letter of Permission to Marry" signed by Lucinda's mother, Sarah Ward. Lucinda m. (2) Moses H. Hall 1866 Mobile Co., AL and resided in Baldwin Co., AL with their children and her children from her first marriage; her daughters from her first marriage, Kitty married a Fulford and Liza Jane married Jason McClantoc. Mary & David Todd and children resided in Choctaw Co., AL., pursuant to the 1850 census. Mary and David cannot be found in 1860 census, but their children are listed on 1860 Baldwin Co., AL census. Evidently to be near their Aunt Lucinda. Any information on these women, their parents and their children would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks! Kim
