Joanne, I have South Carolina Abstracts, 1719-1772, VOL. II, 1740-1755, Book V-P-P, abstractsed by Clara A. Langley. Even though it states VOL II., this looks like it covers a lot of years. If there was a VOL II, there must be a VOL I. In the back of said book there are numerous places in the index; too numerous to type out. I could scan and send. I don't know if it is available today, have not seen it in my catalogs. COPYRIGHT 1984 Southern Historical Press, Inc. c-o The Rev Silas Emmett Lucas, Jr P. O. Box 738 Easley, SC 29641-0738 Do not know if the Rev Lucas is still living. All of the SC deeds (1719-1788) have been abstracted and published. Until the establishment of county courts in SC in 1785, all deeds were recorded in Charleston. These books are available: http://scmar.com/ scroll down to the bottom section.
