My husband's father was born in Sicily and his mother in Riccone/Rimini - his siblings were born in Brooklyn, and the family has mostly migrated to N.J. and Florida - those remaining. If you look at the Ellis Island pages, the name Sanfilippo was as common as Wilson, Davis, etc. in America - I was going to add a page of all the Sanfilippo names in a family book I did for my father-in-law a few years ago but there were over 50 pages!!
