Is there a reference for the old parish/districts? Actually, I think I need a history of Horry Co. Thanks for sharing. ----- Original Message ----- From: Devon J Inman Sent: Saturday, March 23, 2002 1:02 PM To: SC-Genealogy-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [SC] Help finding 1880 census records No, All Saints Parish included all the land in Georgetown County & Horry County that is between the Waccamaw River & the Atlantic Ocean. Unfortunately, I now realize I should have copied the rootsweb address at the bottom of the message someone had posted through SC-Genealogy. I hope someone can help me because it was a wonderful source of census and pension info for the early 1800s for SC. Can anyone answer this question for me? I know that Horry Co. was at one time part of Georgetown District. I found my gggrandfather listed under All Saints Parish in the Georgetown Dist. Could this be the same area as the Good Hope area of Conway now? I know that there is a history of Horry Co.; it is sold at the local Barnes & Noble Booksellers, but I can't remember the exact name of it. I'm sure you could call the store in Myrtle Beach and ask. They are always very helpful!
