Hoping to research my great grandmother- Sarah Helen Griffin.B: 1855 Found her 1872 May 15 Marriage record in Toronto, Canada. States her parents were George & Maryann Griffin, she was of Irish descent born in SC. The 1901 Census gave her birth date and year she immigrated to Ontario as 1863. Family oral history reports, she was living on a plantation on the outskirts of Atlanta when it was ransacked. Her father fought and was killed in the Civil war her Mother died soon after that of Typhoid. Cannot find any threads connecting this family. Any assistance would be helpful. There are too many George Griffins in the civil war files to know which one is the right one. Kathy Hodson
