Several years ago I found the following book in the Birmingham, AL Public Library: Wilbur Goolsby Park, "Moses Park (1738-1828): His Descendants and RelatedFamilies, Vaughan and Wilcher." Baltimore: Gateway Press, 1991. I photocopied the Wilcher section of the book (p. 254-267), but the only mention I see (from a quick skim) in this section of Vaughans is that when the will of Thomas Wilcher, Sr. was brought into court, his widow Anne (Nancy), "relinquished unto Thomas Wilcher (II) and Alberto Vaughan ...my life estate to the farm on whiuch I now live and all the personal property..." Locations of the Wilcher family are listed as Amherst Co., VA, Burke Co. NC, and Warren Co. TN. I'm sure that there is quite a bit more on the Vaughan family in this book. Thomas Wilcher, Sr. is listed as born "probably in the 1740s in Virginia and died in Warren Co. TN in 1816.
