Hi Freda, The COLEMAN family of Southside VA did migrate to SC, or at least some of the families did. In Sumter Co, AL where our John POOL d. 1839, there is a COLEMAN Center, descendants of the SC COLEMAN family. I have a COLEMAN book. Have we tried to make connections for you from said book? Some branches of my Colemans went to Fairfield Co SC (came from VA) when a number of other families migrated (Meadors, Moberley, Beam, etc). There must have been a large migration at the time. Hi Doris, The COLEMAN family that intermarried with MOBLEY/MOBBERLEY families from VA to Fairfield, migrated from Southside VA, the Robert COLEMAN. MOBLEY is my mother's line, but I think you and I have discussed this. I think Freda is looking for a COLEMAN connection from AL back to VA, but is probably the same COLEMAN line, don't you think?
