Do some of you historian/genealogists on this SC list know what kind of grants were issued in the area of Saluda River /Orangeburgh/Edgefield about 1789/90? I was told once they were a State Grants. Hi Joyce, Yes, the grants were usually state grants made by the governor based on Rev War service. I have noticed a number of these made in the 1780s.
