    3. Betty: I may be able to help a little with Sam Taylor and Ann Plowden. I have them born abt. 1720, moving to South Carolina from Virginia in 1750 and having at least two children, Susannah and Samuel Plowden. I have that Susannah married Capt. Mouzon, but no info on Samuel Plowden Taylor, except that he lived long enough to witness his sister's will (dated March 19, 1817). Sorry, I do not have verification for any of this. My mother, who was from Manning, S. C., often spoke of the Plowden family. Do you have information about them, prior to their move to South Carolina? I have a lot of early Plowdens before 1700 and back to early England, but not sure I have them properly tied to S. C. group. Hope this is enough to give you a path to follow. They had a dau Susannah Elizabeth who married my 5th gr grfather. Lore says they were from Virginia. I have never found anything on them. These folks are a major brick wall for a number of folks. We have not found any documentation that links them to the Taylor or Plowden fam in SC. Susannah Elizabeth married CPT. William Henry Mouzon. They moved from St. John's Parish to Williamsburg county in the late 1700's. thanks Betty
