I forgotten to mention this, but Jean and Mary PRINGLE who married Burrell FORT and Henry DeWilde ATKINSON respectively, were sisters, dau of William PRINGLE and Mary MCCOY. I don't know if our Henry DeWilde ties into this family as he is not mentioned in the will, but I copied it just in case.... Secondly I have Jean PRINGLE, b. 26 Jan 1769, Sumter Dist., SC, who md. Burrell FORT. She died bef. 1819, Sumter Dist., SC. Her husband Burrell FORT was also a son of Elias FORT and wf. Lucy. Following are some of my FORT notes: Taken from "A Family Called Fort". "Burrell Fort is the son of Elias Fort and his wife Lucy. Elias moved to SC ca 1769-70. He sold his land in Edgecombe Co., NC at that time. (Elias is the son of George Fort and brother of Elizabeth Fort who married William Davis.)FLD His children: There may be others as I do not have all the pages of this book. Page 224 Albert Fort b. 1 April 1758 Egbert Fort Josiah Fort Wiley Fort b. ca 1774 Burrell Fort. (The name appears to be Bunell in his will but is given as Burrell in Elias's will and in the Sumter County Index). was born 13 Dec. 1772 and married Jean Pringle, born 26 Jan 1769 on Oct. 4, 1795. She died early after bearing him two daughters. Burrell then married Celia McCoy on Oct. 19, 1819. She was born 2 Nov., 1790. He died testate in Sumter County, SC in 1852 or 53, his wife surviving him.
