I would be intereted in sharing data on any of these folks that were ever in or connect to the Courseys, Partains, Hill, Holmes, Raborn, or Riddle, Tutt families mentioned in these court documents. They are all connected in some way to the SC Coursey lines which I am researching. Billie Jones Camden, SC tjones@camden.net ________________________________________________________ *Estate of Benjamin Partin , d. ca 1810. Lucy Partin adm. Dec 1813: The Estate of Charles Partain Sr. in account with Charles Partain, Jr. Paid: William Coursey legatee $60.47 Ezekiel Partain Legatee $60.47 Charley Partain exer (son) $60.47 The following made payments for sundrie purchases: William Partain, Charles Partain, William Raborn, Ezekiel Partain, William Coursey, Jordan Leopard, James [C] Douglass, John Rogers, Jeremiah Mobley Jr. [On account Dec, 1813.] Received payments from the Estate of Jen'd Riddle and William Riddle both deceased. [Evidently the estate of Benjamin was combined with the estate of Charles Sr. in some way. Possibly, he was an unmarried son, and his siblings would have received his portion of his father's estate, or a brother's estate???? Haven't figured that out yet. ________________________________________________________ *Will of Charles Partain, [Box 43 Pkg 1819] written 26 Sept, 1796, proved June 5, 1812, filed July 10, 1812 In the Name of God Amen, I Charles Parten of Edgefield Co, and the state of South Carolina, .. make this my last will and testament... In 1824 his son William brought a lawsuit against the estate of James Tutt. However, his brother John was in Clairborne Co., MS based on info. provided to me by Tutt family researchers, as he signed a power of attorney there giving his brother William in SC his power of attorney. ALAS: to many Williams, James, Johns to work with. Any help would be most appreciated. Billie Jones Camden, SC tjones@camden.net
