The only other thing is to see if perhaps by some slim chance if the State had been sent a copy of the death cert. prior to the Courthouse fire but I sort of doubt it. However it never hurts to try.     3. Hello If this took place in South Carolina, I would look for the book series, "Implied Marriages through Land Deeds". If it is Georgia, I would look at Guardian and Administration records, Land deeds and even look at other counties, as in this era it might be registered in more than one county. People often brought their deeds back to the courthouse after it was rebuilt and re-registered their documents. Always put the names into your queries, in case someone else has information, I don't see which surname you are looking for.
