    3. Dorothy..I checked book "SC Marriages 1800-1820" and no Garner's listed. SC did not legally require marriage or death certificates until 1915...but the churches/parishes along the coast kept records earlier than that. Usually I find them in wills of the wife's father naming her & her husband. My grandparents married around 1910...but can't find anything abt them.
