Hi, This name isn't seen too often, and then doesn't have much on any given record. No Alston or Lewis in my records, but do see James. None in Rutherford County, NC book in my possession. There is a Jesse HOLDER will, 1798, in Laurens, SC. Is he yours? I'm not sure, but the name Jesse was not carried down through our line, and all the names seem to be family names, at least in Lewis and Mary Ann GOODLETT HOLDER's line. Her brother was Benjamin; her sister was Caroline; her first son was Benjamin Alston HOLDER, her first dau., Sarah Caroline HOLDER. Thank you for the lookup!
