    3. I can see the southern people leaving our an "r" in a name, but cannot say whether JAUDON and JORDAN are one and the same. 3. I am researching Thomas MaCauley Jordan born 7 March 1812, died 8 Dec 1893 who was born in the old Barnwell District near Aiken, SC. His parents were said to have died while he was quite young. He studied the carriage maker trade in Augusta, GA and later moved to Winnsboro, SC. If anyone has any information, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
