Roof announce the adoption of a baby girl, Carolyn Annette, born Sept 23, 1958. Mrs. Roof if the former Miss Jewel Holmes of this section and Columbia. They now reside at 1400-A Cherokee Rd., Florence. Rev. and Mrs. T. G. Gibbons and children of Lowndesville visited in this connunity last friday afternoon and night. They came for little Elliott Trotter's funeral. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Davis of West Columbia visited Mrs. J. H. Powell last Saturday. Mrs. J. L. Shaw and Miss Elizabeth Shaw, Mr. & Mrs. George Trotter and children were dinner guests in the hom of Mr. J. H. Hazel last Sunday. Miss Dempsey Clary of the Baptist Hospital in Columbia also attended Sunday School at Bethlehem Mrs. Harvey Holmes honored her little son Jerry with a birthday party at her home last Friday afternoon. This being his 6th birthday. A very enjoyable time was spend together. Mr. & Mrs. W. B. Wood, Mr. & Mrs. W. B. Wood, Mr. & Mrs. Jimmie R. Brantley of Wrightsville Ga, visited Mr. & Mrs. George Trotter Sunday afternoon in the home of Mr. J. Z. Hazel.
