The following obit seems to have possibly been a minister of note, but I can find no connection to the Hazel/Trotter families and their relatives at this time. However, the Brooks name is certainly an old Edgefield Dist. surname. From age at date of birth (given), the obit was published ca 1957. From: Scrapbook of pictures and obits kept by Ella Ruth Hazel Trotter (1905-1963), d/o John Henry & Jamesanna Timmerman Hazel, (Copy provided by Betty Trotter, May 2004). The following obit is undated and the name of the newspaper is not known. The Rev. M. M. Brooks Maxey M.
