The clippings are not dated , but the cem. records for this couple gives her death date as Feb. 26, 1957. I have not connected this one to the Hazel/Trotter families. Obit of Mrs. Coleman, Saluda Co Saluda, Feb 26 (Special) Mrs. Carrie McCarty Coleman, 72, lifelong resident of Hickory Grove community of Saluda Co., Died at 7 am today at her home after a long period of declining health. She was the d/o the late A. P. and Tabitaj (sic) Thrainkill McCarty, both of Saluda Co. She was a member oif Hickory Grove Adventist Christian Church. Suvivors include her husband, Andrew Coleman; four sons, A. P. of Newberry, Dam amd Bill Coleman of Anderson, and alfred Coleman of Saluda; three daughters, Mrs. J. C. Martin of Newberry and Mrs. Fred Force and Mrs. J. W. Shaw, both of Saluda; one brother, W. B. McCarty of Dallas, TX; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 pm Wednesday from Hickory Grove Adventist Christian Church by the Rev. James R. Lee, assisted by the Rev. B. F. Baulknight and the Rev. George Sheppherd.
