I am continuing to look for connections. I know there was a James who lived in Newberry, SC in 1860. He later shows up on an 1880 census in the same area and has a family. My Benjamin G 's family continued the family names. They named the children James, Benjamin, and my grandfather's name was Samuel. Benjamin G died in the Civil War - 9-30-1864. It is hard to tell his exact age since on the 1860 census, it states he was 26 and when he enlisted in 1861, it states he was 29.
