Hi, I haven't really researched the CAPPS family other than what I see along the migration trails from VA to the Carolinas. Matthew CAPPS is in Chowan Precinct, NC, deeds, just after 1700...early. There are also KINGS and WARDS there and CAPPS is on at least one deed with Henry KING. Wasn't there a man by the name of BULL who was Gov. or SC? I don't see COOKSEY in my library, but haven't looked very hard. Will keep you in mind as I watch for records of families that went to SC.
