Lisa, The first Robert´s I find in Surry CO NC wwre James and John Robert´s listed together with 5 polls(3 slaves) on the 1774 tithables. Did any of your Robert´s family intermarry with the HOLDER family and were they in Greenville, SC? SMITH is always a tough name to search, their were a few lines in Surry CO NC. Teresa, which TUCKER line do you have -- does it go back to ROBERT TUCKER who arrive in Colonies in the early 1600's ??? Does your SNOW go to SALLY SNOW, married Zelotes Tucker, 13 April 1803???? I have nothing more on Sally Snow but do have lots on Tucker line from Robert. There is a NICHOLAS SNOW that came over on the "ANN" but I have not been able to connect him to Sally. Nicholas founded Eastham, Mass. Would love to tie some of this together. kinta nc -----Original Message----- From: teresa stuart de rios [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, May 12, 2004 3:56 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [SC] ROBERTS Lisa, The first Robert´s I find in Surry CO NC wwre James and John Robert´s listed together with 5 polls(3 slaves) on the 1774 tithables. Hi Kinta, No, they are from Robert Tucker born 1652, Charles City CO. VA and wife Elizabeth Coleman born abt. 1657, Charles City Co, VA. Their son, Capt. Robert Tucker born 1676 in Charles City CO VA married Elizabeth Parham in 1698, dau of Thomas and Elizabeth Branch Parham. Robert JR married 2nd, Martha Eppes in 1720. Robert Jr died in Amelia CO VA in 1744. My Snow line starts abt 1725 in Spotsylvania CO VA (first documented), migrating into Orange, Albemarle, Louisa CO VA and in 1785 to Surry CO NC. It is thought by some (not proved), that the Snow line comes from St Mary´s CO MD. early 1600´s, Justinian Snow from England, a confidant of Lord Baltimore.
