Apparently you haven't done any French-Canadian research! LOL I'm descended from several founding Acadian families (in what is now Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, northern Maine). In fact, one family, the BOUDREAU family, had 11 children. Of those 11 children I am descended from SIX (and one or two of them I'm descended from more than once). I'm descended from BOTH Acadian LANDRY lines, and descended from BOTH Acadian HÉBERT progenitors more than a few times each. Where there are only a few founding families, there isn't a lot of choice in marital prospects. lol Brenda Hébert
