Dee, Would you be kind enough to search for the marriage of Alexander Higgins and Martha Unknown in the early 1800s in your South Carolina marriage books for me. Alexander was born abt. 1790 in the old 96th district of SC. He and Martha migrated to Lauderdale County, AL where most of their children were born, including my ggrandfather, Isaac Higgins (part of the children were born in SC).
