    3. The Greenville News W.R. ?Raz? Staggs NINETY SIX William R. "Raz" Staggs, 86, of 205 Park St., husband of Elizabeth Robertson Staggs, died Sept. 5, 2000, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Born in Belton, he was a son of the late William Elmore and Lillie Snipes Staggs. He retired from Greenwood Mills, Ninety Six Plant, and was a member of Temple Baptist Church and the Men?s Bible Class of the church. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Larry Morris of Ninety Six; two daughters, Linda Johnson of Laurens and Patricia Fennell of Durham, NC; two sisters, Amy Lee Gaskins and Runette Lark, both of Clinton; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 Thursday at Temple Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Charles Owens. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Gene Carter, Max Latham, Thomas Crawford, Alan McIntosh, Walt Pruitt, Jeff Beacham and R.C. Fulmer. Honorary escorts are members of the Men?s Bible Class of the church, along with John Lewis, Alton Vaughn and Fred Boyd. Visitation is from 2-3 Thursday in the church fellowship hall. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 95 Saluda St., Ninety Six, SC 29666. Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood, is in charge.
