John, thanks for letting us know about this. I enjoyed reading the Chronicle. I noticed there was a book titled Our Ulmer Heritage, by Lawrence H. and Martha L. Ulmer, 396 paged, 1996, indexed , $30. If you know of anyone who has this book, I would like to know if there is source or proof in the book that Elizabeth Ulmer married Christian Gates. If so, I would love to purchase the book.
