    3. Hi Kit, I don't have a GREENE line that I know of. For 15 years I worked with a history teacher from the school district whose students chose a pioneer of the San Joaquin Valley in CA. I did the genealogy for same. Duff GREEN was the most prominent ancestor of this family, and the reason I found his records. Well, they did have RANDOLPH-WASHINGTON-MAYNARD-STITH, etc. One cannot work on southern families without seeing these names. When you mention Eleanor (DUFF?), makes me wonder if this is your GREENE family...? I don't think you said. 3. I do not have my entire file of GREEN family info at hand, so I am relying on mostly memory, but my ancestor Robert Green of Culpeper County Virginia had several red-headed sons. One of whom was my direct ancestor, Nicholas Green (who in Orange Co., VA Jan 1757 married Elizabeth Price) and I am sure another son was aptly named "Duff", so named for Robert's mother's brother (William I think was his given name) Duff, with whom Robert had stowed away on a ship bound from England to America around 1717 at age 13. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Audrey E.
