The following will was copied from the SC Probate records, Edgefield Co, SC on microfilm at the SC State archives. I have several Wiley Glovers in my files, but cannot place this one. Filed Mar. 25, 1806 In the name of God amen, I Wily Glover of the District of Edgefield in the State of SC .....I dispose as follows: First I give to my loving wife Jemima Glover my bay riding horse and riding chair Item It is my wish and desire that my land be equally divided into two equal part. Item I lend my loving wife Jemima Glover during her natural life the use of the one half of my land the same including the plantation and buildings where I how live and five negro., three heads of hogs, one your sorrel mare, one bay filly, and one sorrel horse coalt (sic). Ten head of Pick'd cattle, all my stock of hogs and sheep, two feather beds and furniture; and as much of the household and kitchen furniture and plantation tools as she wishes to keep for her use. Item I give my daughter Elizabeth Glover my candle stand wand when she marries or comes of age, one good feather bed and furniture ad at the decease of my wife, that part of land which I now live on. Item I give my son Willis Satterwhite Glover the north end half of my land, my case, and when he married or comes of age a good feather bed and furniture. Item: he lists Negroes to be divided between his children when they come of age. Item All property not before bequeathed shall be sold on a credit of one year and the proceeds to pay his debts. And the balance to be put out on interest for the use and support of my children Elizabeth Glover and Willis Satterwhite Glover. Item It is my will. that when my daughter becomes of age or marrys that all of the money arising from the sales of my property be equally divided between my daughter and son. Item it is my wish that my wife Jemima shall keep and have the use of the Negroes which I have bequeathed to my (son and daughter) until they come of age or marry.
