Hi List, I have a paper with this info below on it. I cannot tell if it's a address or just a street address with a place of work. This paper was found in Greenville, S.C. from late 1920's. This info is from a persons hand writing. All input welcome!!! Below is what it looks like to me. # 9 Osteen St. Brandon? Mills Thank you, Theresa
Theresa, Each mill community in the Greenville area where there was a mill was named after the mill. Such as Brandon, Dunean, Judson, etc. It was still in Greenville. If you lived in one of those communities, you lived on the mill hill. The mill built most of the houses and the workers bought the houses from the mill. I am from Dunean.
