    3. Is there anyone on this list who could do a marriage look-up for early 1940's? I'm not sure about the county. People from NC went to York, SC to get married since there was no waiting period. Does that mean a town named York or is it York Co. or one and the same? I believe it was pretty close to the NC state line. I'm searching for marriages for ROLAND HUGH STANLEY, DOB- 07-17-1916. He was from Davie Co, Mocksville, NC. He died 1985, NC. He was actually married 5 times and I have NC records for 3 marriages!! The ones I need were early 1940's. Thanks for all help, Gerri Ann, TN

    3. Geri, I looked for your ROLAND HUGH STANLEY at the York County Courthouse but did not find him. They only keep so many years though. Have you tried the SC Archives at this link http://www.scdhec.net/vr/index.htm . I think you can send away for records from them. Sorry I could find him for you. Good Luck with your search.
