From a page in my great grandfather's Bible, from records in the Rosemary Baptist Church of Barnwell Co., from David's will, and from the various census records I have a pretty good record of my Mary LYLES from the time she started making a family with David until she was laid to rest near Ft Gaines GA. My problem is connecting her to any of the LYLES folks in SC or NC. Nor have I been able to find any record of her marriage to David in SC, GA or NC. I do know their first child, a girl, was born in Barnwell Co SC in the mid 1820's; there were five other children born there. Then then moved to Clay Co GA where they settled & two more were born. All reference to Mary indicates she was born SC 1801; that's the sum total of my information on her prior to Barnwell Co. SC.
