Hi, Audrey; no, my Snipes line did, we believe, migrate from VA (and Barbados, before that). This Maine branch apparently came from somewhere else, probably directly from England. We have not been able to connect them to our line. Note that they spell their name, "Snipe", consistantly. We are no doubt connected in the "old country".
