    3. Got some information for someone looking for some Poseys. Fixing to throw away the notes, and can't remember if I posted them to the site or not. If so, sorry for the repetition; if not, hope this helps someone. Frances Posey - Will, Orangeburg Dist. SC 19 Nov 1787 Son Absalom Posey 10 sheep dau. Phebe Hollingworth 1 shilling dau. Nancy Smith 4 cows and calves dau. Sally Martin dau. Gugay Shuriss Sukey Posey ( I promise that is what it said) dau. Mary Posey Son Benjamin Son Far Milly Posey, his wife Wife and son Absalom Ex/Exrx & my true friend Benjamin Hollingworth. Witness: Elijah Walker, Benj. Billie and Lee: Could this strange name which contains the name Sukey as in the nursery rhyme for children Sukey put the kettle on, Sukey put the kettle on, we'll all have tea, Could this Sukey Posey be the later on woman shown on the US Census in Greenville Dist. SC listed as Sukey Cockrum? She had a house full of kids and seemed to be alone. She is listed as head of household. I can't remember which one it was that she was seen on, but I can find out.
