    3. Jane, I've always thought our BUTLER family migrated from Isle of Wight County, VA; mostly because of other names associated with the BUTLER family there. And, John BUTLER who dies in IOW, VA has a grandson, Allen BUTLER who could be a good age for our family. I think they may have migrated to NC and SC before going on to GA, a most common migration route. Phillip Whitfield THOMPSON and Susannah BUTLER named their first son, Allen B. (BUTLER?) THOMPSON. Anyone on the list working on this THOMPSON/BUTLER family?
