    1. [SC] Re: Tolliver Robertson--/Bramlett's--/Gantt's in Laurens County
    2. Hi Sara! While reading your post on Tolliver Robertson, I noticed at the end, your surnames you are researching-the Bramlett's!! I am out of the Bramblett/Bramlett's (Almon and Nancy Bramblett Gantt thru their son, Martin) of Laurens Co. Also, I find a Lucy Robertson married John Gantt in/about Laurens Co. John was the son of Almon and Nancy Bramblett Gantt. Is Lucy any relation to Tolliver Robertson? Also, later on, in/about 1860's, Andrew Jackson Chappell of Pickens Co. mar. Malinda Caroline Robinson/Robertson. After his death in the Civil War (POW camp-Camp Douglas, IL-1864), she returned to Laurens Co., remarried and had more children. AJ's brother, Joseph Chappell (both are sons of James/John Chappell and Abigail Boren/Bowen), married Terrissa Gantt, daughter of Martin and Sarah Thomasson Gantt and granddaughter of Almon and Nancy Bramblett Gantt. This gets quite interesting as the families seem to be intermarrying. So, this leads me to think the Chappell's and/or Bowen's were either from Laurens or nearby Newberry County (as everyone tends to believe.) I have seen Bowen's in Laurens Co. deeds and have seen Tolliver in some also. I could send them to you if you wish. They are scanned copies, so I could not post to the list unless I transcribe all of them (many pages!!!) Let me know what you think of all of this!! Patricia A.
