Hello List Members, I am researching some connections to the Hemphill family Line. I would appreciate any information on a Jane L. (or L. Jane) Hemphill who married a James (or John McCaw in Chester County, SC sometime before 1829. I have the information on the Jane Hemphill part, but not the McCaw part. Also I am researching any connection to Chesnut (Chesnutt/Chestnut) who were in the Chester County around the 1830s. I believe my ggg-grandfather Alexander Henry married a Chesnut, but I need more evidence. They were all Presbyterian, but I don't know what church in Chester Co. they would have attended.
