Hello I visited Camden in the mid 90's and enjoyed visiting the Camden Archives. I found not only did I have I have ancestors in the Revolutionary War fighting for freedom, but Loyalists who were plundering SC to Florida, and settled for a time in St Augustine with the Spanish. The librarians were able to offer quite a bit of assistance. It seems my Schofield family was split between their allegiance to the Revolution or the King. One of them was the Schophol who was a leader of the anti-regulator faction in South Carolina, 10 years before.
