    1. [SC] Chappell/Badger
    2. >>>Patricia, In your Chappell file, do you have a Henry Chappell that married a Badger (probably in Jaxsonville, fl? Thank you Larry Taylor Phenix City, Al alabamataylor@juno.com<<< Well howdy neighbor!! I see you are in Phenix City, AL!! I live across the river in Columbus, GA!! Lots of Chappell's around here too. Very prominent family. I am sorry that I do not have any Badger's in this file. It is mostly out of the upstate SC-western NC area and just my line. I cannot seem to go past my ggg-grandfather, John/James Chappell. We believe from old family stories that he was from Newberry Dist, SC before removing to Pickens Dist, SC. His descendants are in that area and up in the Transylvania Co, NC area. I did have a HUGE file on the Chappell's from VA on down, but cannot find it now. I have asked another Chappell cousin to resend to me. It prints out to about 300 pages. But, I don't think we ever connected our Chappell's to them. There are some in Laurens Co, GA. I have something I copied out of a book at the Bradley Library once about them. The Bradley is a wonderful resource for genealogy. I do not know if CVCC still has a genealogy room or not over there in PC. They used to have a real good one when I went to college over there back in the early to mid 80's. The librarian was from Oconee Co and always got the books I needed back then!! She has long since retired. What time frame are you looking at for this Chappell/Badger? That may help some when I get the file again. Let me know! I will get back to you when I get the file. Patricia A.
