Phylis, Thank you very much for the Ferebee Cemetery info. I was recently invited to join the Jasper Cy. Historical Society and was told of their work on local cemeteries. I planned on joining but now I am sure I will. Thanks again. Don Wiggins P.S. Don: Like most things in this world - it's for sale:-) I purchased my copy from the Jasper County Chamber of Commerce office. If I remember correctly its cost is $25.00 payable to the Jasper County Historical Society. This is a really nice volume and well worth the $25. The only thing it "lacks" is an index of individuals. From what I understand, it is the culmination of a two-year survey of every burial site (black and white) that could be located in the county. Hope you'll get this data on the rootsweb cemetery inscription site. The data from SC is not very thorough and this is such a help. Most researchers reading this will probably have data or access to data on at least one cemetery in their area. We really need to participate in getting this data on line. Arrie: It's not "my" data - it's material copyrighted by the Jasper County Historical Society for which I paid (only $25). I had noticed that there was a "Ferebee" cemetery in the index and recognized the name when I read Don's query. So I figured I'd respond with the information from that cemetery.
