Hi, Carol, Its not a silly question. I have heard of FT. Worth, TX but could not give anyone directions there. Camden is the oldest inland town in SC, founded in 1733. It is a wonderfully historic place where several Revolutionary War battles were fought, and where Lord Cornwallis had his troops. We have a Rev. Park here that holds a wonderful historic Battle reenactment each year. The Joseph Kershaw house, which was taken over by Lord Cornwallis has been rebuilt on its original foundation, and is a magnificent house. All sorts of old homes. We are located about 30 miles NE of Columbia, SC the capital of the state, right off of Interstate 20. Try the web site for Camden Archives www.mindspring.com/~camdenarchives/index.html I don't know if it will let you link to the Chamber of Commerce info. from that page or not. The Camden Archives is housed in one of the few remaining original Cornegie Libraries built in 1915. If you get out this way, come see Camden.
